Setting Up Integrations in 1Me Business

Streamline your workflow by connecting 1Me Business with your existing enterprise tools.

Integrations are the backbone of a scalable digital identity strategy. By connecting 1Me Business to your HR, CRM, and directory systems, you can automate manual tasks, ensure data accuracy across platforms, and provide a seamless onboarding experience for your employees.

Accessing the Integrations Hub

  1. Log In: Access your 1Me Business Control Panel.

  2. Navigate: From the main dashboard sidebar, locate and click on the "Integrations" tab (usually found near the bottom of the menu lists, below Smart Tokens).

1. Microsoft Power Automate Integration

This is the most powerful integration for automating HR workflows. It allows you to trigger actions in 1Me based on events in your Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., when a new user is added to Azure AD or an Excel list).

Common Use Cases:

  • Auto-Onboarding: Automatically invite a new employee and generate their digital card when they are added to your HR directory.

  • Auto-Offboarding: Automatically deactivate a digital card when an employee is marked as "Inactive" in your system.

  • Profile Sync: Update job titles or phone numbers on digital cards automatically when they change in your main database.

Setup Guide:

Note: You will need administrative access to both 1Me Business and Microsoft Power Automate.

  1. Generate API Key (in 1Me):

    • Go to the Integrations tab in the 1Me Business portal.

    • Look for the "API Access" or "Developer Tools" section.

    • Click "Generate New API Key". Copy this key immediately—you will not be able to see it again.

  2. Create a Flow (in Microsoft Power Automate):

    • Log in to make.powerautomate.com.

    • Create a new "Automated Cloud Flow".

    • Trigger: Choose a trigger event (e.g., "When a new row is added" in Excel Online, or "When a user is created" in Azure AD).

  3. Connect to 1Me:

    • Add a new step in your flow and search for the "HTTP" action (or the specific 1Me Connector if listed).

    • Use the API endpoints provided in your 1Me Integrations dashboard to send data (Name, Email, Job Title) from Microsoft to 1Me.

    • Authentication: Use the API Key you generated earlier in the header of your request.

2. Directory Services (SSO & Sync)

If your organization uses Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) or Google Workspace, you can streamline the login process.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

  • Benefit: Employees don't need to create a new password for 1Me. They simply log in using their work credentials.

  • Setup:

    1. In the Integrations tab, look for "Single Sign-On".

    2. Toggle on "Microsoft" or "Google" authentication.

    3. Follow the prompts to verify your corporate domain (you may need to add a TXT record to your DNS settings).

3. CRM Integration (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

Note: Direct CRM integrations may require using Zapier or Power Automate as a bridge if a native connector is not listed.

How it works:

When an employee scans a new lead's paper business card or QR code, that lead's data can be sent directly to your company's CRM.

  1. Configure Webhooks:

    • In the 1Me Integrations tab, find the "Webhooks" section.

    • Create a webhook for the event: "Contact Saved" or "Lead Captured".

    • Enter the destination URL from your CRM (or an intermediary automation tool like Zapier).

  2. Map Fields:

    • Ensure the data fields in 1Me (First Name, Last Name, Email, Company) map correctly to your CRM's lead fields.

Best Practices for Integrations

  • Test with a "Sandbox" User: Before rolling out automation to the whole company, test your flow with a single dummy user account to ensure invites and data syncs are working correctly.

  • Monitor Errors: Regularly check the logs in your Power Automate or integration dashboard to ensure connections haven't expired or failed.

  • Security: Never share your API keys via email. If an admin leaves the company, regenerate the keys immediately.
